Panda narrowly beat out Jesus Ignacio (Chuy Nacho) in the naming poll, so we'll be sticking with that for now. More name polling to come.
The Panda is becoming more active. I can feel him doing what must be jumping jacks. Or the dance Jennifer Beals does in Flashdance where she's basically running in place. Yes, I am anticipating a very active Panda.
But now on to more pressing issues. Things that really keep me up at night. What kind of diaper bag should I get? Do I want to share one with Josh? Can two Virgos keep one bag organized in the "correct" way? As a bag connoisseur, I find it totally unacceptable that I'm not well versed in diaper bags. Looking for suggestions here, people!
You have two choices on diaper bags and co-parenting, both of which are annoying. Either you share, and then you have to do total inventory before you leave house to make sure it's got what you want (what we did). Or, you have separate (which I actually never thought of). And no matter what, have extra diapers/wipes in every vehicle/stroller/etc you own!
ReplyDeleteSeparate! That way you will always know what is in the bag. Jon and I each had a messenger bag with baby supplies. Mine was basically my purse bag too, but Jon's was just baby stuff. I tried to go fairly minimal, but that crap adds up. The only real musts are diapers, wipes, and a one piece outfit in case there is a poosplosion. (Zip lock baggies are very handy to have in case you are not near a trash can...) I also carried an extra swaddling cloth for nursing modesty, a small changing pad and sanitizer. Alex was not rashy, so I skipped the creams and balms...
ReplyDeleteThere ought to have some funky baby accessory stores in Berkeley! Plus, there's always etsy. I know it's overwhelming but search by something specific like I dunno, pandas... I found a cordoroy yoga mat bag on there that I love. You should check out my favorites (http://www.etsy.com/people/LaraSue/favorites?ref=si_fav)
